Anonymous asked: Why not do dual numbering (both a big shiny # 1 for your new fans and a smaller inconspicuos legacy numbering for your older fans) for ongoing series titles? What could possibly be the downfall to that?

As I’ve pointed out, we tried to do this years ago, and it was an absolute disaster, with wrong numbers printed all over the place. So it was a lot of work and a lot of hassle with poor results for absolutely no return—it didn’t sell us a single additional copy, nor did it make fans like yourself any happier.
So we’re not going to be doing that again.
